Craig Walker joined Shell Trading as VP and Global CIO in April 2008. He came to this role following an assignment in Downstream, where he served as the CIO for Shell’s African businesses based in Cape Town.
He has over 20 years’ experience with Shell, in both the Upstream and Downstream IT functions. During this time, he has had overseas assignments in Colombia, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, USA and the UK in both London and Aberdeen.
Craig, who graduated in Chemical Engineering and joined Shell in 1981, also brings recent external (to Shell) experience, as he spent five years with KPMG Consulting, where he managed strategy, large system implementations and process change programmes for major global clients.
Craig is married to Gina and has two daughters, a son and two very large dogs. His interests are wide and varied, but top of the list includes sports, theatre, music, good food and wine.
