On Thursday August 18th, 2011 150 IT Leaders will join us for an evening under the umbrella of keynote Peter Guber and our CIO leadership panel.
Keynote Peter Guber is an American film producer, renowned CEO and author. Chairman and CEO of Mandalay Entertainment, and former CEO of Sony Pictures. Guber is also a co-owner of the Golden State Warriors NBA team.
The unique story from this legendary film producer and world renowned CEO will walk an audience of 150 IT leaders through a unparelled lesson of enterprise leadership. With this audience Peter shares insight into a powerful leadership tool used by all successful leaders but mastered by himself through his career in film; the art of story-telling.
“Leadership is story. It is the ability to narrate story, the ability to present information that is otherwise not resonant and not memorable and not actionable in a form that makes it resonant, memorable and actionable. What you’re looking at is a methodology that’s as old as us, that held our tribe together thousands of years ago, when we weren’t as fast as a lion or as big as a rhinoceros or strong as an elephant. So we needed an organizing principle. Social language and interaction allows us to develop tactics and strategy to climb to the top of the food chain. And that was story.” – Peter Guber
Peter Guber’s new book ‘Tell to Win’ adds light to this concept and the power of story-telling, all attendees will have a meet & greet opportunity with Peter Guber and receive a signed copy of ‘Tell to Win’ compliments of CIOsynergy.
On this afternoon our panel of 5 CIOs will discuss, debate and challenge the focus of today’s enterprise IT. One-on-one with these Enterprise leaders, as they reveal winning strategies that have kept the organizations they serve ahead of the pack.
